The gentle art of becoming
I am the seed planted with intention to bloom.
I sit for a while unsure of why I am here or what exactly I am meant to do.
I sense my surroundings. The soil is cool and dark. There is little movement for it is cold in the world above and all the creatures are resting too.
As I rest, my energy builds. I am literally sitting here – soaking in my surroundings and doing as little as possible. The energy to do more builds. I wait patiently.
For if I listen and sense into my surroundings…notice when the moisture increases (and drink it in), when the soil warms and the creatures creep – then I will know it’s time to move.
To stretch out and take up more space. To push outside my shell to extend roots and connect more solidly to the earth that has held me so softly for as long as I can remember.
I do not yet know what seed I am or exactly what I am meant to be. I do trust that will become clear in time.
As I slowly grow this Spring, sprouting up through the soil, I will be something. I will take up space.
I will be what I am meant to be. I will be where I am meant to be.
In a world that welcomes and nurtures me fully when I connect and listen and patiently engage with it – while also being fully in my being – expanding when the time feels right.
Trusting the process. The bloom will come.
Right on time.
